Our Trip to the Zoo

Our first trip to the zoo as a family.  I have always tried to get John there, but he was always very reluctant.  But, today was the day.  He came along with us.  He hasn't been to this zoo since he was little.  So, we picked one of the hottest, stickiest days of the year to visit the zoo.  I must say it went pretty well.  No major melt downs or tantrums. Whoo Hoo.

The Beginning.

Stopping at the Bear Fountain, the kids noticed some ducklings.  Too cute.

Can you see the enthusiasm in his face??

Cullen noticing the ducklings.

Brady and the ducklings.

Posing with T-Rex.  Love the bag of pretzels.  He snacked all.day.long.

Polar Bears...were sleeping and not swimming.  Ugghh!

Papa pointing out the seals.

My favorite pic of the day.  I love the silhouettes and the blue.

Cullen being silly.

Cool butterfly at the butterfly house.

Getting ready to leave.  Shane's new spiderman sunglasses he scored at the zoo (Dad's a sucker!!).

All in all, it was a good family field trip as Shane said.  We had fun and didn't kill each other (haha).  Hope your weekend is well.

I love the zoo! I want to go when John returns. I imagine he'll have the same enthusiasm that your husband does :-)

I noticed your son's sippy cup. We have that same cup. I love it!

It was hot and humid today here too. Great day for doing NOTHING inside with the A/C running full blast :-)

We love to go to our small local zoo. We don't have anything like the polar bear tank. I love the seal pictures!

Hooray for being meltdown free and not killing each other. Great pictures. I think your zoo is superior to ours. We don't have seals!

We're hopefully going to the zoo this week. I am wishing to have tantrum-free day also. Now, if I can just get my husband to go. :)

Wow - you're braver than me to go to the zoo in hot weather! It looks like you had a great time though! And that picture in front of the blue water is so great!

I'm following you back from the Sundae Hop!

Shelley! Hey girl! I just wanted to stop by to tell you that you brightened up my whole weekend! Thank you for finding my blog. Thank you for following me. I was cracking up over your comment about the Diet Coke and cinnamon rolls! They are staples at my house, and I believe I am a better mom with one in each hand! HA HA! God bless you and your lovely family too! I'm your newest follower!

I love going to zoos and such but have a hard time walking or standing for long periods of time. I have bad legs.
