Praise...what does it mean to you?

eLisa over at Extravagant Grace put a challenge out to us all.

Let's keep today's day of intentionally giving thanks and praise the Lord, in THIS moment, super simple but incredibly powerful. Take today's Praise Challenge by doing this...

1.Search PRAISE on Biblegateway.com, and share the one that strikes you first or encourages your heart in this moment.

Here's mine:
The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.
Exodus 15:1-3

2.Share a link to a favorite praise song!

This is such a powerful verse from Exodus; without God we really do not have any strength of our own. I am so glad He called me to Him! Great song choice, too. This one always makes me realize how much more we must do on this earth in God's name! (I love the words: Where glory shines from hearts alive, with praise for You and love for You in this city)Amen!

Blessings!

Blessings Shelley!!!

PRAISE the LORD! He is the God of our city! Our nation! Our world!
Yours, mine and each of ours as we praise Him! It's about time!

That is a powerful choice of a song with your verse from Exodus!!! I'm so thankful that the Lord is our strength and our song! Praising Him for our salvation! Let us truly exalt Him and give Him thanks & praise!

So glad that I came to see who is PRAISING HIM with eLisa today... now that's intentional living as you give Him PRAISE & take the challenge. I'm the first link but it's at our team blog not my own.

What a wonderful claim of praise about our God!

I have always loved God of this City, but hearing it at the Toby Mac/Chris Tomlin concert this summer was awesome!

Mine:
Exodus 18:10 NIV
He said, "Praise be to the LORD, who rescued you from the hand of the Egyptians and of Pharaoh, and who rescued the people from the hand of the Egyptians."

Reminds me of the song:

I will sing unto the Lord for He has triumphed gloriously, The horse and rider thrown into the sea.

The Lord, my God, my strength, my Song, has now become my victory.

The Lord is God, and I will praise Him
My father's God and I will exalt Him.

God Can Do Anything! May I not forget that!!
