Sunday Morning in the Urgent Care

Shane woke up in tears this morning.  He tried to put weight on his right foot and was in a lot of pain.  He thinks he hurt himself on his scooter yesterday.  But, if you know Shane, this kid is constantly hurting himself.  He loves to run into things, trip over things and just not watch where he is walking.  So, we chalk it up to Shane being Shane.

Waiting for his xray.  He hated being in this wheelchair and could not sit still.

Getting his ankle xrayed.

Thinking this xray thingy was pretty cool.

Lining it up.

Maxing and relaxing.

Holding his leg in place, he was very fidgety.

PTL!! Nothing was broke.  Just a bad sprain.  They wrapped it up and sent us on our way.  Now, to keep him on the couch without hopping, jumping or running.  Yeah right.

By the way, I work in the same building as the Urgent Care, so it was like going to work on Sunday.  Blah.  But, at least he is fine and resting on the couch.

Never a dull moment.

Yummy Muffins

Katie had these scrumptious looking muffins on her blog, The Cutting Back Kitchen.  These are Morning Glory Muffins and they are delicious.  I had to put all those free organic carrots to good use that I got the other day.  These are delicious and good for you, and my kids gobbled them up.  Check her out and see all her amazing recipes.

Yummy :)

The Bug Exterminator!!

We saw an ant in the house, so Brady was going to get it!!  "Momma, I swat it!" she says.  All dressed in her "exterminator" garb she was ready to rid that ant from our house.  I had to bribe her with candy to get this pic, she wouldn't hold still.Posted by Picasa

Abbi and her new look....

Abbi has been counting down the days til she could get her contacts.  Our stipulation was that she must wear her glasses for one year.  I know what a pain glasses can be, I have been wearing them since elementary school, blah. She is 10 and very mature for her age, so yesterday was the day she had been waiting for.

Abbi making cookies, before contacts.

Looking very serious during her contact lens instruction.

Figuring out the "right" side of the lens.

Trying to get that slippery little lens in there.  It took a little practice...

More practice.....

And she did it!!  Glasses free.  She is so excited and taking better care of them then I do of mine :)

Hope your summer is going well :)

Splash Pad

Yesterday me and the 4 kiddos decided to do some garage sailing  (well I decided they had no choice) after that I took them to the Splash Pad.  My oldest protested vehemently that she did not want to go!! You guessed it, she had the most fun.

Abbi (the oldest) getting splashed by buckets.

Cullen not quite sure at first.

Shane and the squirt guns.

Cullen and Brady having fun inside the sprinkler.

These next few shots crack me up.  First you see Cullen and Abbi waiting for the bucket to splash.

Then it dumps.  Mostly on Cullen.

The after shot.  Cullen wanting out of there and Abbi laughing.  Priceless.

Cullen decided to sit out for the next few.  Ahh, the grass :)

My beautiful Abbi on the way home.

Shane in the sprinklers.  Too fun.

Love this one of Brady.

Shane getting dumped on again.

Then momma decided to take a Zyrtec because my allergies were bugging me.  Wrong move.  That medication does something fierce to me, I turn into mean momma.  We went home and sat in a cool cozy home and watched our Redboxes.  I feel asleep through the first one, Rango. That Zyrtec kicked me butt.  Note to self: no more Zyrtec.

Hope you are having a blessed and happy weekend.

Bible In 90 Days Update.

I started the 90 Day Challenge on Monday and I am loving it.  I thought this is going to be hard to fit in, but so far I am ahead of schedule (and I would like to keep it that way).

Check out Mom's Toolbox.com for the plan and all about the 90 Day Challenge. Yeah, it already started, but you can catch up.  I love her blog, she has so much good stuff on there.

This is the cool app I am using to get me through the 90 Day Challenge.  YouVersion has a 90 Day reading plan that is the same as the Challenge.  It tracks what you are reading and checks off what you have already read.  It is soo cool.

Come on, join me.
