Abbi has been counting down the days til she could get her contacts. Our stipulation was that she must wear her glasses for one year. I know what a pain glasses can be, I have been wearing them since elementary school, blah. She is 10 and very mature for her age, so yesterday was the day she had been waiting for.

I had contacts at one time.. This was the time that the solution for cleaning them had a perservative called Thimersol. Well, lo and behold, I am allergic to that. I got ulcers in both eyes. It was horrible. Now, that make the solution Thimersol-free but my eyes are worse now and would not get 20/20 vision with contacts so I keep my glasses!! LOL. I hope she enjoys them.
