My Abbi is 10!!

My Abbi is 10 on 01.15.2011!! I remember the day when this special little girl came into my life.  Abbi was 11 days late to begin with!  The hubbs and I were in Northern California and I had 3 midwives all ready to go.  I was delivering at a nearby hospital, they threatened induction on the 10th day. I was hiking through the Redwoods and swimming to get this child out, but nothing.  The night before my induction I had a huge turkey dinner with friends and family, and someone was massaging the pressure points on my ankles.  Well, at 8 pm that evening the contractions started. There's an argument for tryptophan or pressure points to induce labor?? I planned on holding off until the morning to go to the hospital, because I knew first time moms could labor for awhile and I didn't want to be sent back home.  By 4 am the contractions were getting worse and I wasn't getting any sleep, so we were off to the hospital.  I forgot everything I was supposed to pack!! When I got to the hospital I was only dilated to 2!! What??!! Oh, and I didn't want an epidural either, I wanted to know what this all felt like and didn't want to delay labor.  So, they were pondering sending me home! Just what I feared!!  They hooked me up to the monitor and 30 minutes later my water broke!!  Whoo Hooo, showtime!!  Abbigayle Grayce was born at 8:49 am weighing 8lbs 10 oz and 22 1/2 in .  John was all set to be the one to deliver her into this world, but the midwives saw meconium and wanted her out ASAP. No time for amateurs.
