Rite Aid Deal for 02.28.2011
So, this is my Rite Aid deal for the day. My friend Lianne, the CB, made me go to Rite Aid. I really didn't want to put out any extra money in Up rewards, but this was a deal and an half!!!
I got:
6 cans of Lays Stax
4 bags of Cheddar Combos
4 bags TGIF Potato Skins Cheddar and Bacon
My first order was 3 bags of combos for $3 and I received $3 UP rewards and I just kept going back for more.
I spent $3, got all of this and I still have $3 in UP rewards!!
So, it was FREE!!
I love when deals like this work out.
My husband loves me for it too!!

Set The World On Fire
Missing church again this week, due to sicko kiddos. But remembering church is anywhere you want to give praise and glory to the Lord. God has been really working on our families heart to be a family of service, to be a helping hand. So many ideas running through my head and scripture just flowing.
"Share with the Lord's people who are in need. Practice hospitality." Romans 12:13
I want to set the world on fire for Him. This song is so appropriate, just listen and read the words. This is all that is on my heart right now.
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Mark 10:45.
He did so much for us, there is so much we can do show thanks for that ultimate price He paid for our sins.
"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." 1 Thess 5:
11.
What has God been calling you to do in your life ?
God Bless,

This week a group of us got together 81 lbs (I didn't count them) of shoes that are going to Haiti this week. I am not saying this to boast or get praise, because that all goes to Him. I say this, because it starts with you. One person can make a difference. This started with one and it grew from there. Nancy at Nancy's Couture knows that feeling that starts to stir, the one that you can't shake. You can join her weekly on her journey to make a difference.

Thumbuddy To Love Review and Giveaway
When I was a child I used to suck my thumb. That's right I was a thumb sucker. Many years later, I am still left with the remnants that thumb sucking had left behind. My front two teeth had become maligned due to thumb sucking. Today, none of my four children have developed the habit of thumb sucking. But, I know if a habit of this type occurs I can use the Thumbuddy to Love to help extinguish this habit.
Thumb sucking can cause the following:
-Misalignment of Teeth and Jaw
- Speech Problems
- Germs, Infections, Calluses- Speech Problems
- Embarrassment
- Raised Palate
Thumbuddy was created by a former Thumbsucker. Fireman Fred and Ballerina Sue tell the story of how thumb sucking doesn't allow you to participate in everyday activities. There is a book about each Thumbuddy and a chart with stickers to track your progress. The Thumbuddies are a puppet used as a reminder of the importance of quitting thumb sucking. Thumbuddy is recommended for ages 3-6 yrs.

An excerpt from Fireman Fred's Thumbuddy book. |
We received Fireman Fred for review. What an awesome product to get any thumb sucker to stop. He is a cute little puppet that fits right on your thumb with a removable coat. The story book that comes with Fred is cute and child appropriate. My son loved this guy and he is 6. He read the story and took off with Fred. I recommend this product to anyone with a thumb sucker on their hands (haha). I wish they had this around when I was little!! My teeth would be thanking Thumbuddy too.
The generous people over at Thumbuddy To Love are giving 1 lucky winner a Fireman Fred of their very own. What a great gift to any thumb sucker.

Letters to God
The family and I watched this movie tonight. If you haven't seen this movie yet, I encourage you to rent it tonight. What an awesome movie, based on a true story. I cried my eyes out, so beware, it is a major tear jerker. But an awesome message of inspiration and faith in God.
Loved this song from the movie. I can't say enough about the movie and the soundtrack.

A Woman Of Noble Character Week #3
Week 3: Proverbs 31:16-18 Are you thrifty and frugal? Do you take care of yourself by exercising and eating right? Write a post about how you are spending wisely and/or any ways in which you are making healthier choices to ensure you are energetic and strong.
Ever since we have gone down to one income, our spending has changed dramatically. Gone are the days of eating out and fast food runs. Coupons and Sales Ads litter my table weekly. Blog after blog about couponing and how to be thrifty are scattered across my laptop screen. Have I become thrifty and frugal? You bet I have!
God has shown us as a family that we can live on less. That we don't need all the whistles and the bells. That I need to be content in what I have and not what I don't! I have become thrifty in ways I would have never dreamed of. Making baby wipes and cleaning wipes, making more homemade meals and having a weekly meal plan are all ways to help lessen the load.
"But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that." 1 Timothy 6:8
This is why I blog, to learn more about how others are frugal and share what I have learned. I also blog to to pick up little things for the kids that I wouldn't be able to afford by doing giveaways. Mom to Mom sales are my best friend when it comes to clothing my kiddos. Garage sales in the summer can be big helpers too. I have learned alot on this journey of frugality. God has put that fire in my heart to want to be more frugal and save more money for my family. It has been a journey, and I am still on it learning everyday.
You noticed how I have avoided the whole question about health and exercise?? That I am not as fired up about, but need to. So, thanks, food for thought.
This is from one of my shopping trips. I love taking pictures of my good deals. All that for $26.76. Now to get back on the treadmill :) |

Soft Clothing Review and Giveaway
Soft Clothing company is a company driven by the needs of children. Made for children and tested by children for the utmost quality and likability. Soft Clothing is designed to fit the needs of the everyday child, especially those that have special needs in regards to texture and feel of their clothing. The design of Soft Clothing can help with children that have Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, and tactile defensiveness/sensitivity. Or, just the finicky 3 yr old that doesn't like the way the tag feels on her back of her favorite shirt. Then the tantrum ensues. I digress. These kids clothes are so soft and fashion forward, how can you resist??
The many looks of Soft Clothing.
This is my daughter Abbi modeling the Soft Tunic Dress. I love it! You can wear with leggings or without. Dressy or casual. The feel of it is so soft and smooth. She loved it.
This is what you will find with every Soft Clothing garment:
•Flat seaming totally seamless construction throughout (for extra comfort)
•Soft high quality cotton (combed, bio-washed and pre-washed for extra soft and smoothness)
•Wide collars (for a roomy fit)
•Encased elastic (waistbands that don't pinch)
•Printed labels throughout -- printed with water based ink (for a smooth non-plasticity feel that won't itch)

Patemm Pads Review and Giveaway
Patemm is the greatest invention from a busy mom who was looking to start her own business. She was annoyed with the standard design of many diaper changing pads, so she designed her own. Patemm took off from there. These pads are amazing!! These pads are 30 inches, PVC-free, laminate cotton that wipes clean and has all kinds of cool pockets to store wipes and diapers. They are waterproof and machine-washable. These pads fold neatly into themselves with a nice little handle for traveling.
This is my son Cullen (barely sitting still!!) on the San Francisco Momma Pad that we had for review. I wish I had these pads for all of my children. Cullen and Brady liked sitting on the pad and playing. I liked how easy they were to clean up and fold back up. I love the storage pockets!!
The San Francisco Momma Pad |
I love how big these pads are. You can take them anywhere. It is more than just a diaper changer. You can use this as a play pad, especially at the beach or the park. How cool is that?
The Manhattan Momma Pad |
This is the pad that is available for this giveaway. I love it!! What a cool baby shower gift for a new mom.
The generous people over at patemm are giving 1 lucky winner The Manhattan Momma Pad. What a great gift for any mommy.

The Twooth Timer Company Review and Giveaway
Do your kids brush their teeth for the recommended amount of time stated by a dentist? Do you know what the recommended amount of time that you should be brushing your teeth is?? My kids barely spend 2 seconds in the bathroom brushing and I am sending them right back in to brush again. I have bought the tooth brushes that light up and used digital timers, but still they are not brushing their teeth for long. Until now!! The recommended amount of time you should be brushing your teeth is 2 minutes. That's right, 2 minutes. When have you ever gotten 2 minutes of good tooth brushing from your kids.
They say most young adults do not brush for more than 35 seconds. 28% of pre-school children have experienced tooth decay and that number rises dramatically in older children. Wow!!
This is the product that is going to help fight these statistics.
I found the coolest product to help alleviate that 2 minute issue. The Twooth Timer is just that! A timer that lets you know exactly how long to brush your teeth. You simply set the timer for 2 minutes and it is a ticking. A bell goes off when your 2 minutes are up and your done. I tried it the other night and boy, two minutes is long. I sure have been missing the mark when it comes to brushing long enough.
The Twooth Timer |
There are also fun downloads on the site to learn more about dental health and tooth brushing charts. |
Abbi is using the Twooth Timer. The kids have been using it every night since we received it and they love it. I think the design really gets them motivated and my little one, Brady is always asking for the timer when she brushes.
