Proverbs 31 Weekly Challenge Week 1

I thought I would join in on this Proverbs 31 weekly challenge from My Heart's Desire and link up each week.

Week 1: Proverbs 31:10-12 Are you a virtuous and capable wife more precious than rubies? Does your husband trust you, and do you enrich his life? Do you bring him good everyday? Write a post about something you would like to change about yourself, and something you love about yourself. How does this add to the enrichment of your husbands life?

"A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.  Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value." Proverbs 31:10-12.

I am a virtuous and capable wife that is more precious than rubies.  My husband whole-heartedly trusts me and I trust him and I do enrich his life.  I do not always bring good to him everyday.  The thing I would like to be able to change most, is the my attitude towards my husband.  My attitude doesn't always come off as being loving or caring and I need to be both of those things to him.  I support my husband in all that he wants to do.  I love that about myself.  That I can see beyond my needs as a wife and acknowledge that he may need some time to himself or he may need to minister to people.  I will try to help him in whatever capacity he may need me.  We are here to serve the Lord, but always remembering God, family, ministry in that order.  We all need down time.  My husband stays home with the kids while I work as a full time RN.  I sometimes forget how hard that can be for him and I need to acknowledge this and the time he needs away.

You are more precious than rubies! Thank you for sharing from your heart. Two personalities woven together to make a life together. It is hard work, but very worthwhile.

Thank you for joining me in the challenge. God bless you!

That is amazing that you are able to make this work in your situation. When I was married, my husband did not make a good house husband at all. He watched my daughter in a half-hearted way and handed her off to me when I got home. Then he went out on his own, and I didn't see him again until late at night. I was responsible for my daughter if she woke up in the middle of the night though I had to wake up early. You are a blessing to your husband!
