Homemade Bread

Ok, this is my first try at homemade bread. I eyed a certain recipe from Recipe Shoebox called French Peasant Bread. It looked pretty easy with only 5 ingredients, so I thought I would try it. We are also making homemade Chicken Corn Chowder and Mini Apple Pies (Heavenly Homemakers for dessert. They are all still in the cooking stages so I will have to let you know how it went later, but for now here are pics of what they should look like. STay tuned for my "after" pics to see if they match. Hope everyone had a blessed weekend and have a great week ahead :) Shelley

All in all, I think I did pretty well. Whoo Hoo!! I can make delicious food. I am such a goof!! Oh well, have a great week. :) Shelley

It all looks YUMMY! I'm slowly learning to enjoy cooking. For the longest time, we were always so broke, and having all the ingredients and supplies never happened...now, I'm just stuck in a rut of always doing the same thing. And WAAAY overweight. We are actually thinking of going "Nourishing Traditions"...our whole family seems to be having some underlying health issues of some sort, and I'm very aware it's not cool to use table sugar and white flour...

My week looks busy, but good.

Hope your's goes well and happy too!!!

I'm glad that you enjoyed the bread and I think your loaf turned out beautifully! As far as freezing it goes, I have to admit that my family gobbles bread up too fast to have ever have had the need to preserve it for another day, but my guess is that it would be fine if it was wrapped up well. If you go ahead and do it, you'll have to let me know how it goes. Take care!
