A Busy Weekend

We had a pretty busy holiday weekend around here. Saturday, we started off with some garage sales. Me and Abbi and Shane went to a few garage sales looking for home schooling items, but came up with these treasures.


As you can see, I got 42 Huggies diapers size 6 for $4!! I liked that deal!
Garage sale #2: I found these 5 books for $0.50. Loving it!!


Then home to deal with this mess!! This is all of Brady's clothes, summer and winter and I needed to sort!! I spent the whole afternoon sorting through this mess!

Abbi and her friend decided to have a Lemonade stand to raise money for children in Haiti. Can you see the sign Abbi made for the sale? They raised about $17.50 in about 4 hours. Bless her heart, she has such a tender heart!!

Sunday~ We were invited to my friends for a cookout and some swimming. Boy, did we have a good time. Her pool was 92 degrees!! The kids swam all day and Cullen had his first swim ever, ahhh! We had some awesome food and we all came home a little tired and red.


Monday morning started off with Shane, Abbi and I bike riding to the bridge, beach and park. We had breakfast at the park.

Freighters were passing by as the kids swam and I read the bible and devotionals on my Blackberry (I love that thing), I can take the bible anywhere...to the beach!!

Monday afternoon it was sweltering hot. So we set up the kiddie pool for Brady and she had a blast!!

Field Trip Fun

On Friday, I got to go on a field trip with my daughter's class. We went to Greenfield Village. It is a historic park built by Henry Ford. It is pretty cool to step back in time! One of the oldest homes is there, which dates back to 1640!! Wow! Well, anyway, here are a few pics of our day. I totally was in love the whole day. Learning about the time period with Abbi (which she loves) and hanging out with my daughter (which I love!), makes for one awesome day!

Fun In The Sun (and water too)!!

Well, today it reached into the mid 80's and our little swimming pool isn't up yet. So, the kids asked to get out the sprinkler. And that's what they did!! Here are some pics of our afternoon of water fun.

A few plans for the rest of the week: walking, drinking lots of water, field trip, spring cleaning and maybe some garage sales on Saturday.

The Love of My Life

On Saturday, May 22, 2010 it will be my husband's birthday.

I thought I would post a little something about the man I love to death!!

"I encourage my husband and build him up. I do not pay back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to him. I am joyful always. I pray continually; giving thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for me in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:11, 15-18 (NIV)

This is the man I love. The man I cherish. The man who is my knight in shining armour. My protector. My best friend and companion on this journey, called "life".

He is the best father to our four children. I am always amazed by him!!

He is the one out building snow forts with and for the kids. He is a big kid at heart!

This picture makes my heart melt. The look of how awesome God is to bring us another beautiful blessing into our lives.

I just wanted to say I Love YOU!! I am the most blessed person with you by my side!

Pulling Teeth

Shane, my five year old had to have some baby teeth extracted. He had an extra baby tooth growing in between his front two teeth. So, today I had to take him to the pediatric dentist and have them extracted. So, I had to wait in the waiting room!! He came out of the room with red eyes and big tears and blood stained gauze peeking out from his lips. My poor baby!! I felt so bad for him and I tried to uplift him with some praise of how well he did. He cried the whole way home, and we layed in my bed together for a few minutes....then he started jumping on the bed and chasing his sister. The worst was over and he was back to Shane! Another fun filled day at my house.

Monday Meal Plan 05.17.2010

Well, it is another week of meal planning. Here is our planned menu for the week of 05.17.2010.

Monday: Cheesy rice and chicken bake with crescent rolls (I made a few additions)

Tuesday: Baked Veggie Sandwich and fries (made the dough tonite 5.17.2010)
Wednesday: Turkey tacos and spanish rice
Thursday: Corn dog muffins and fries
Friday: Left overs or cereal night
Saturday: (Hubby's birthday) Grilled chicken and potatoes or maybe out on the town??
Sunday: Homemade mac and cheese and broccoli

Tomorrow my son, Shane is having two baby teeth extracted. He has an extra baby tooth coming in between his front two teeth. He is five and is a little nervous!! Any prayers for him and the dentist would be greatly appreciated :) Thank you and God bless.

Me and Shane

Shane and I decided to go for a walk this morning by the water before everybody else woke up. Shane is my early riser and likes to spend time with his mom. He held my hand the walk, back and forth to the beach. I love these moments in time.
